Short-Term Running Goals:

Break through the 19 then 18 minute mark for 5K

Return to full speed track workouts

 

Long-Term Running Goals:

USATF Age Group All American times in 200 (24.6), 400 (56.0) and 800 (2:11)

Qualify and run Boston before I hit 50... but after I complete my sprint goals

Could only muster a half mile walk late in the day.  Spent the 12 hrs from 6am to 6pm either atop or afore the porcelain throne with some sort of truly nasty bug.  Finally feeling alive again at 11pm.  Hopefully sleep will come easily and last long.

3 days later now and my earlier comment was clearly wishful thinking. Symptoms ramped up again through the next day, and only started eating solid food about 24 hours ago (Wed mid day). I've never had anything remotely like this before. Pretty impressive whole body weakness. I don't recommend this method of losing 6-8 pounds.
