Zero for me, other than fartlekking it around the XC course.  Travis played around with strategy at the low key City Champs on our challenging home course.  He led the race through 2 miles and then backed off.  Only one kid went by him, so he got second in 17:23.  Coach successfully flooded the holding pond that the kids go through 3 times - he was disappointed that only 3 or 4 kids lost shoes in the mud this year.  The boys failed in their attempt to find little capes to wear, so they all decided to wear shades.  The guy behind him in the pic was the winner - good bud of his that is a senior with a 16 flat PR

Cool pic. I need to learn how to post photos on here - cannot seem to do it with IE.

as long as you have a web address for the pic, you just click the insert photo icon and follow the prompts - appears to only be an option when doing a new blog entry - not a comment on an existing entry - maybe when you edit an entry as well? trying that now

ok then - added a pic of our #2 runner going through the holding pond - wouldn't work linking the address of my web gallery, but works fine using an address specific for hosting files. Sooo looks like it won't work for pics hosted by flickr etc, but will work if the file is on a web disk like google docs maybe. Likely a much simpler solution as well, but haven't played with it too much.

Great pictures.

I'm currently coaching only two guys that I'm bringing down to Mesa, Az for NXN Southwest.

Sounds great, Rob. Travis is seriously considering running Footlocker Southeast this year in Charlotte - not the elite race, but probably the Junior Boys race. He would need to go right close to 16 flat to medal. I think he's capable of it - we'll see.

Ah - so I have to have some web photo storage with a URL link that does not have any security around it to make it work. Photos on facebook won't display - I just tried. Good to know though.
